Getting to the 27 Waterfalls! The majority of tourists come on a Jeep Safari Tour offered through most hotels in Puerto Plata, Sosua, or Cabarete. These tours bring tourists through beautiful Dominican countryside and lunch is included, however, they only have time to visit the first 7 waterfalls. For the more adventurous, you’ll want to come on your own, in either public transport (guaguas), your own car, or in a taxi.

*Tip: Come in the morning to avoid afternoon crowds *

Helping the local communityToday, 27 Waterfalls is a protected area, “Natural Monument”, dedicated to preserving the beautiful park and helping the local communities. 30 pesos or 1 dollar of every entrance fee goes to community fund to be directly invested in the surrounding communities. Since November of 2007, when the new fee structure began, the park has raised over 700,000 pesos for the local community.

  1. My family would like to visit the falls next week, March 5th, and not go through a tour. When we arrive at the visitor center what should we expect and how much are tickets?
